A dark, surrealist horror-comedy series from French publisher VHD Diffusion, Animal ran for 22 issues between 1988 and 1991. Known for its grotesque, anthropomorphic animal characters and pitch-black satire of human society, the series is most associated with writer/artist Éric Hérenguel, whose distinctive, scratchy linework brought its twisted world to life.
