Anna

From 1979 to 1982, French publisher Editions Gérard Cottreau released 24 issues of Anna, a comic series written and drawn by Turkish creator Suat Yalaz (credited under the pseudonyms Gi. Toro and Jimmy Toro). A distinctive blend of exotic adventure and pulp intrigue, the series follows its glamorous, resourceful heroine through globe-trotting exploits. Yalaz’s dynamic, cinematic art and tight storytelling made Anna a standout in the European adventure-comic landscape of the era.
