Aphrodite IX

A six-issue miniseries from German publisher Infinity Verlag, Aphrodite IX (2002–2003) follows a cloned android assassin navigating a dystopian, cyberpunk-infused world. The series is most associated with writer/artist David Hine, whose sleek, moody visuals and noir-tinged storytelling gave the character a cool, lethal presence. Though short-lived, this original incarnation of Aphrodite IX stands as a cult artifact of early-2000s independent comics, predating the character's later, more famous Top Cow revival.
