Aqua Knight Part Three

In 2001, Viz Media brought the third arc of Aqua Knight to English-speaking readers, continuing the underwater fantasy epic created by manga artist Yukito Kishiro (best known for Battle Angel Alita). This five-issue miniseries follows the further adventures of Ashika and the mysterious knight Ruliya as they navigate a richly imagined aquatic world of political intrigue and high-seas swashbuckling. Though shorter than the series' earlier parts, this installment deepens the lore of Kishiro’s waterlogged kingdom while showcasing his signature blend of detailed mechanical design and emotional character work. A must for fans of Kishiro’s distinctive storytelling, Aqua Knight Part Three remains a lesser-known but fascinating chapter in his oeuvre.
