About the series
Since 1968, Egmont Ehapa has published the German-language editions of Asterix, the beloved series of Gaulish adventures originally crafted by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. Over 41 issues, readers have followed the indomitable Asterix, his larger-than-life friend Obelix, and the villagers of their tiny stronghold—including Chief Majestix, bard Troubadix, and druid Miraculix—as they outwit Roman legions with wit and magic potion. The series stands as a cornerstone of European comics, with later volumes illustrated by Didier Conrad and Frédéric Mébarki, ensuring the spirit of the indomitable Gauls endures for new generations.
