In the late 1990s, Carlsen Comics began publishing the German translation of Auf der Suche nach dem Vogel der Zeit, a sweeping fantasy saga originally crafted by French writers Serge Le Tendre and Régis Loisel. Over six issues (1997–2008), the series follows a quest for a mythical bird, with Loisel’s lush, detailed artwork—joined later by Dominique Lidwine—bringing its medieval-inspired world to life. This German edition made a cornerstone of Franco-Belgian fantasy accessible to a new audience, celebrated for its rich storytelling and evocative visuals.
