Aventuriers d'aujourd'hui (Collection Les)
A French collection published by Editions Mondiales during the late 1930s and early 1940s, Aventuriers d'aujourd'hui ran for 112 issues, reprinting and repackaging American adventure and superhero stories for a European audience. The series is most notable for featuring early work by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the iconic team behind Superman, whose contributions here appeared under the pseudonym "Anthony Brooks" for Siegel. Alongside these pioneering tales, the collection also included material by pulp writer Maxwell Grant, as well as art from Paul Cassidy and Vernon Greene, offering a snapshot of transatlantic comics culture during a turbulent era. It stands as a significant artifact of how American comics were adapted and disseminated abroad before and during World War II.
