About the series
Bastard is a five-issue miniseries published by Viz in 2002–2003, adapting a dark fantasy manga into a compact American comic format. Written and drawn by Kazushi Hagiwara, the series centers on a powerful, amoral wizard named Dark Schneider, who is reluctantly resurrected to battle an invading demonic force.
