About the series
From 1966 to 1970, Mondadori published 82 issues of this Italian series, which brought Batman to local newsstands with a mix of imported American stories and original material. Written primarily by Gardner Fox alongside Italian contributors Roberto Catalano and Pier Carpi, with art from Sheldon Moldoff and the Montague brothers, the series introduced Italian readers to the Dynamic Duo—Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson as Batman and Robin—alongside the feline foe Selina Kyle as Catwoman. It stands as a key cultural bridge, adapting the Caped Crusader's adventures for an international audience during the peak of the 1960s Batmania craze.
