Batman

From 1990 to 1997, Polish publisher TM-Semic brought a distinctive translation of Batman to local newsstands, blending reprints of American stories with original cover art across 82 issues. The series drew heavily from the work of writers Doug Moench and Alan Grant, with artists Jim Aparo, Bret Blevins, and Mike Manley providing much of the gritty, shadowy visuals that defined the run. Katarzyna Rustecka also contributed significantly as a writer, helping shape the tone of this era. This series mattered as a key entry point for Polish readers, offering a sustained, curated dose of the Dark Knight during a transformative decade for the character.
