In the early 2000s, Panini Deutschland collected a trio of issues under the banner Batman - Schwarz und Weiss, a German-language anthology series that translated and compiled stories from the acclaimed American Batman: Black and White volumes. The series is most notably associated with the visionary writer Harlan Ellison and the meticulous artist Gene Ha, whose contributions highlight the scope of talent involved.
