Benny and Penny in Just Pretend

Geoffrey Hayes, working in soft colored pencil, created this gentle, award-winning early-reader comic for RAW Junior. The series follows a pair of young mouse siblings, Benny and Penny, as they navigate everyday imaginative play and small childhood conflicts. Starting with Just Pretend in 2008, the books are designed to bridge the gap between picture books and comics for the youngest independent readers.
