Bernd das Brot, a short-lived but fondly remembered German comic series from Egmont Ehapa, ran for just three issues in 2004–2005. Based on the beloved, perpetually grumpy TV puppet from KiKA, this comic adaptation captured the character's signature deadpan humor and existential despair.
