Bessy

From 1973 to 1981, Bastei Verlag published Bessy, a 34-issue comic series that brought the adventures of a spirited horse and its young rider to German-speaking readers. Crafted primarily by French writer Roger Lécureux with art by Roland Garel, the series offered a warm, family-friendly Western tale that stood apart from the era's more action-heavy fare.
