Beware! Terror Tales
Fawcett · 1952–1953 · 8 issues
About the series
In the early 1950s, Fawcett published this eight-issue horror anthology that delivered a chilling blend of supernatural shockers and crime-tinged terrors. Regular writer Bill Woolfolk, along with a stable of artists including Maurice Gutwirth, Bob Powell, and Mike Sekowsky, filled each issue with twist-ending tales of vengeful spirits and monstrous comeuppances. Though short-lived, Beware! Terror Tales stands as a compact example of the pre-Code horror boom, showing the genre's raw energy before the Comics Code reshaped the industry.
