Big Bang Comics

In the mid-1990s, Caliber Press published Big Bang Comics (1994–1995), a five-issue series that lovingly homaged the Golden Age of superheroes through a mix of original characters like Ultiman, The Knight Watchman, and Thunder Girl. Writers and artists Gary Carlson, Stan Timmons, and Tom King crafted a playful, retro-flavored universe, with Timmons and King also handling the artwork. The series stands as a fond, creator-driven tribute to the four-color adventure comics of the 1940s, offering a nostalgic detour from the darker trends of its era.
