Big Ben Bolt

In the early 1990s, French publisher Eseuve Editions, SA revived the classic newspaper strip Big Ben Bolt for a six-issue comic series, bringing the famed heavyweight boxer and globe-trotting adventurer back into the ring. This short-lived run honored the character's pulp roots while updating his exploits for a new audience, with the series' artwork and scripting maintaining the robust, action-oriented feel of the original. Though brief, the series stands as a notable European homage to a once-ubiquitous American hero.
