Big Town
DC · 1951–1958 · 50 issues
About the series
From 1951 to 1958, DC Comics' Big Town ran for 50 issues as a lighthearted anthology series anchored by the everyday adventures of teenagers like Buzzy Brown and Binky Biggs, alongside the more serious crime-fighting of newspaperman Steve Wilson. The title is best remembered for its blend of humor and drama, with regular contributions from writer-editor Jack Schiff and artists Win Mortimer and Mort Drucker, the latter before his Mad fame. A quirky footnote in DC's Silver Age lineup, it also featured occasional appearances by Clark Kent, tying the series loosely to Superman's world.
