Published by Super Publishing from 1951 to 1953, Black Diamond Western ran for 18 issues, blending classic frontier action with crime-fighting intrigue. The series is most closely associated with writer and artist Charles Biro, whose gritty storytelling and dynamic visuals defined its tone, alongside regular artists Dick Rockwell and Al Luster. Centered on cowboy hero Bob Vale, who operated under the alias The Black Diamond, the comic offered a darker, more violent take on the Western genre during the early 1950s. Its no-holds-barred approach made it a distinctive, if short-lived, entry in the era's comic book landscape.
