Bob Morane

In 1974 and 1975, Semic Press published four issues of Bob Morane, a French-language comic series adapting the long-running adventure novels by Henri Vernes. Vernes himself scripted these comics, with dynamic, atmospheric artwork by William Vance, who would become the definitive visual interpreter of the globe-trotting hero. This brief but influential run established the visual template for Bob Morane's pulp exploits, bridging the character's literary origins with the European bande dessinée tradition.
