About the series
In the early 2000s, writer-artist Jason Pearson unleashed a four-issue miniseries for his own Extrem Erfolgreich Enterprises imprint that blended hardboiled crime with darkly comedic superheroics. Body Bags follows the gruff, wisecracking "clown prince of crime-fighting" Mack and his daughter Taneisha—a pair of contract killers who take on the worst monsters and villains society has to offer. Pearson's kinetic, expressive artwork and razor-sharp dialogue gave the series a cult following for its unflinching violence and surprising emotional depth. A standout from the independent scene, Body Bags remains a sharp, self-contained blast of creator-owned pulp energy.
