Boule & Bill

Jean Roba’s beloved Belgian comic strip Boule & Bill found a new German-language home with Egmont Ehapa from 1987 to 1989, running for eight issues. Primarily drawn by Roba himself, with scripts often handled by Andreas Boerschel and Michael Walz, this series brought the gentle, humorous adventures of a boy and his cocker spaniel to a fresh audience. While the original French series had been running for decades, this compact run helped cement the duo’s charm in Germany, showcasing Roba’s warm, expressive art and timeless family-friendly comedy.
