Boy's Club

Matt Furie’s Boy’s Club, published by Buenaventura Press in 2008–2009, is a two-issue comic series that introduced the surreal, laid-back world of four anthropomorphic frog roommates. Known for its deadpan humor and crude, expressive art, the series became a cult touchstone for its offbeat depiction of millennial slacker life. Though short-lived, Boy’s Club is most notable as the origin of Pepe the Frog, a character who would later take on a life far beyond its creator’s original intent.
