Brök
Epix · 1988–1991 · 30 issues
About the series
A gleefully absurdist anthology from the French publisher Epix, Brök (1988–1991) brought together three titans of European humor comics: Édika, Jacovitti, and Marcel Gotlib. Running for 30 issues, each creator contributed their signature brand of surreal, often anarchic comedy—Édika's wordplay and grotesquerie, Jacovitti's dense, spaghetti-filled nightmares, and Gotlib's sharp, metafictional gags. The series served as a playful summit of distinct comic sensibilities, showcasing the wilder, more experimental side of late-20th-century Franco-Belgian cartooning. It remains a cult touchstone for fans of offbeat, creator-driven humor.
