About the series
From 1965 to 1970, Editions Lug published Bronco, a 56-issue Italian comic series that brought a rugged Western sensibility to the newsstands. Most frequently written by Maurizio Torelli and illustrated by Roberto Corbella and Onofrio Bramante, the series followed the adventures of its titular cowboy through the classic frontier tropes of the era. It stands as a notable piece of European comics history, showcasing the sustained popularity of the Western genre in Italian publishing during the mid-to-late 1960s.
