Bruce J. Hawker

In 1985 and 1986, Hjemmet/Egmont published this two-issue Norwegian comic series starring the dashing 19th-century British naval officer Bruce J. Hawker. Crafted by Belgian artist William Vance, who also co-wrote with Svein Erik Søland, the series follows Hawker’s swashbuckling adventures on the high seas, blending historical detail with Vance’s signature clean, dynamic artwork. Though brief, it stands as a notable European adventure strip from a master storyteller.
