Bugs Bunny

In the late 1950s, Magazine Management brought the wisecracking, carrot-chomping rabbit to the newsstands with Bugs Bunny, a 39-issue series that captured the anarchic spirit of the classic Warner Bros. cartoons. While the creative team shifted across issues, the book consistently delivered slapstick humor and Looney Tunes-style mayhem, with Bugs outsmarting the likes of Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam in standalone adventures. Though it ran only from 1956 to 1958, this series stands as a key early example of a major cartoon character successfully transitioning into the comic book medium, paving the way for decades of animated-licensed comics.
