Bugs Bunny Comics

Bugs Bunny Comics, published by Thorpe & Porter from 1953 onward, ran for five issues and brought classic Warner Bros. cartoon chaos to the comic page. Anchored by writer Don R. Christensen and artists Fred Abranz and Tony Strobl, the series captured the wisecracking rabbit’s signature humor in a lively, all-ages adventure format. Though brief, it stands as a charming early example of licensed animation-to-comics storytelling during the 1950s.
