Buz Sawyer

Launched in 1966 by Australian publisher Yaffa / Page, Buz Sawyer is a short-lived three-issue comic series reprinting the classic newspaper adventure strip of the same name. Best known for its original run by Roy Crane, this incarnation brought the globe-trotting naval aviator and his high-seas exploits to a new audience in a compact comic format. Though limited in scope, it stands as a notable example of how syndicated newspaper strips were repackaged for the international comic-book market during the mid-1960s.
