About the series
In the early 1980s, DC Comics published Camelot 3000, a twelve-issue maxiseries that reimagined Arthurian legend in a futuristic setting. Written by Mike W. Barr with distinctive, detailed art by Brian Bolland, the story brings King Arthur and his knights back in the year 3000 to defend Earth from an alien threat. This series is notable as one of the first direct-market comic book miniseries, helping to pioneer the format that would become a staple of the industry.
