Capitaine Flam

In the early 1980s, French publisher Dynamisme Presse Edition launched Capitaine Flam, a six-issue comic series adapting the adventures of the spacefaring hero popularized by the 1970s anime Captain Future. The series translated the original Japanese stories into a French comic format, featuring Captain Flam and his crew as they explored the solar system and faced cosmic threats. Though brief in its run, the series is remembered as a key Franco-Belgian adaptation of a beloved sci-fi property, bridging the gap between European comics and Japanese animation.
