Captain Midnight

Captain Midnight, originally published by the Fawcett imprint Cleland from 1953 to 1954 across 20 issues, adapts the classic radio and serial hero into a comic book adventure. The series follows the airborne, gadget-savvy Captain Albright and his young allies, the Secret Squadron, as they battle espionage and supervillainy in the atomic age. Most closely associated with artist and writer Otto Binder, this short-lived but fondly remembered run captures the earnest, high-flying spirit of mid-century adventure comics.
