Captain Optimist

Captain Optimist was a planned series from the small press publisher Fan-atic Press, announced for a 1986–1989 run but ultimately never released a single issue. Despite its nonexistent publication history, it represents the era's ambitious indie comics scene, where creators could announce and promote projects that never materialized. Associated with the publisher's broader catalog of fan-driven work, it remains a curious footnote in the history of unsung, unrealized comic book projects.
