Captain Thunder and Blue Bolt

The Thomas family—writer Roy and Dann Thomas—revived a pair of Golden Age deep cuts for Heroic Publishing in 1992, pairing the original Fawcett speedster Captain Thunder with the vintage hero Blue Bolt. Over two issues, artists Eufronio R. Cruz and Howard Simpson helped bring these classic characters into a new era, blending retro heroics with a modern sensibility. A fond, short-lived revival that let two lesser-known champions share the spotlight.
