Cartouche

Set in the era of Louis XV, this French historical adventure series from the publisher Jeunesse et vacances follows the exploits of the legendary outlaw Cartouche. Running for seven issues from 1964 to 1965, the strip was most frequently written by Jean Ollivier and brought to life by the detailed, dynamic artwork of Eduardo Teixeira Coelho. It offers a swashbuckling take on the famous highwayman, rooted in the tradition of classic European bandit-hero tales.
