Cascade Comix Monthly

Published by Everyman Studios from 1978 to 1980, Cascade Comix Monthly ran for 19 issues as a showcase for the emerging underground and alternative-comics scene. The series is most closely associated with regular contributors Art Spiegelman, Denis Kitchen, and Jim Siergey (who wrote and drew under the byline JSiergey), whose work helped define the raw, experimental energy of the era. It stands as a key document of the transition from underground comix to the more personal, formally adventurous comics of the 1980s.
