About the series
From 1977 to 1984, Edifumetto published Cimiteria, a 121-issue horror anthology series that leaned heavily into macabre, gothic imagery and lurid, supernatural storytelling. The series is most closely associated with the painted cover work of Alessandro Biffignandi and Emanuele Taglietti, whose strikingly atmospheric and often controversial art defined its visual identity. A staple of the Italian fumetti neri tradition, Cimiteria stands out for its unflinching embrace of the grotesque and its cult status among collectors of European horror comics.
