About the series
Claire Voyant (1946–1947) was a short-lived, four-issue supernatural crime series from Leader Enterprises, primarily written and illustrated by Jack Sparling with additional art by Jack Kamen. The strip followed a beautiful, clairvoyant heroine who used her psychic abilities to solve murders and thwart criminals in a noir-tinged post-war setting. Though its run was brief, the series stands as an early example of a female-led occult detective in comics, blending horror and crime genres with a stylish, moody visual flair.
