Code Geass - Shikkoku no Renya

Set in the same alternate-history world as the original Code Geass anime, Shikkoku no Renya is a five-issue miniseries from Tonkam that moves the action to a pre-colonial America. Written and illustrated by a creative team exploring the franchise's core themes of rebellion and forbidden power, the story follows Renya, a young man who makes a pact with a mysterious witch for a dark Geass. Though brief, this 2012–2013 series expands the Code Geass mythos by transplanting its iconic struggle for freedom to a rugged, frontier setting.
