Codename Sailor V

In 2012 and 2013, Egmont Ehapa published a two-issue German reprint of Codename Sailor V, the original manga prequel to Sailor Moon. This compact series follows the early adventures of the energetic Minako Aino as she discovers her destiny as the first Sailor Guardian, fighting evil in her own solo crusade. Written and illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi, it offers fans a self-contained look at the character’s origins before she joins the main team. Though brief, this edition provides a tidy, standalone taste of the magical-girl action that helped define the genre.
