Comic Archiv, published from 1984 to 1990, was a German-language magazine that served as a dedicated archive of classic newspaper comic strips, reprinting them in a collected format for a new generation. Spanning 21 issues, the series focused on preserving the work of seminal artists from the early to mid-20th century, with a particular emphasis on the influential German cartoonist e.o. plauen and his iconic wordless strip "Vater und Sohn." By presenting these strips in a curated, magazine-style package, Comic Archiv played a key role in keeping historically significant European comics accessible and appreciated during the 1980s.
