Comicstrips

Jürgen Maier’s Comicstrips was a short-lived, three-issue series from 1977–1978 that served as a showcase for the German artist’s distinctive, often surreal comic-strip style. Published during a period of growing international interest in alternative European comics, the series collected Maier’s inventive, panel-driven narratives, which blended deadpan humor with a stark, expressive line.
