Comixene

A short-lived but influential German fanzine-turned-magazine, Comixene (1977–1979) served as a vital platform for the country's burgeoning alternative comics scene. Published by Edition Lehner & Knigge across just nine issues, it championed the work of local underground and avant-garde artists, offering a space outside the mainstream. The series is remembered for its role in documenting and fostering the rebellious, DIY spirit of late-1970s German comics.
