Conan der Barbar

In 2013–2014, Panini Deutschland published a compact, four-issue Conan der Barbar series that brought Brian Wood’s acclaimed storytelling to German readers, with scripts co-written by Michael Strittmatter. The artwork—a vivid blend of styles from Becky Cloonan, Massimo Carnevale, and Mirko Colak—captured the raw, mythic energy of Robert E. Howard’s Hyborian Age. This short but striking run stands as a key European edition of the Cimmerian’s adventures, showcasing a creative team that redefined the character for a modern audience.
