About the series
Condor's Condor-Comic-Jumbos was a German anthology series running from 1988 to 1994, delivering eight oversized issues packed with a mix of licensed adventure and fantasy stories. Best remembered for featuring the wild exploits of the barbarian hero Mogur—created by the prolific team of writer Werner Gehrke and artist José Ortiz—the series also reprinted classic European and American material, giving German readers a broad taste of international comics. Its large format and eclectic lineup made it a distinctive, if short-lived, showcase for genre storytelling during the late Cold War era.
