About the series
From 1969 to 1976, Warren Publishing’s Creepy delivered 30 issues of macabre, black-and-white horror anthology stories, with Archie Goodwin as the series’ most prolific writer. The magazine’s iconic covers and interior art were frequently provided by fantasy illustration legends Frank Frazetta and Ken Kelly, alongside the distinctive work of Larry Todd. A cornerstone of the pre-Comics Code horror revival, Creepy helped redefine the genre for mature readers with its atmospheric, cinematic storytelling and lush, unsettling artwork.
