CrossGen Universe was a 2001–2003 anthology series from Semic S.A. that served as a gateway to the publisher’s interconnected line of fantasy and science-fiction titles. Spanning 11 issues, each installment featured a rotating cast of characters and storylines from across the CrossGen stable, allowing readers to sample the epic scope of the Sigilverse without committing to a single ongoing series. While no single creator dominated the run, the book captured the ambitious, creator-owned spirit of early-2000s comics, offering a curated snapshot of CrossGen’s world-building and its bid to rival the Big Two.
