Cry for Dawn

From 1989 to 1992, Cry for Dawn was a nine-issue series from Cry for Dawn Productions that introduced readers to the hauntingly beautiful character Dawn, a supernatural femme fatale navigating a dark, ethereal world. Most closely associated with writer-artist Joseph Michael Linsner, the series blended gothic romance, horror, and a distinctively moody, painted art style that became a touchstone of early-’90s independent comics.
