About the series
In the late 1960s, Interpresse brought Marvel's supernatural antihero to Danish readers with Dæmonen (1967–1970), a 60-issue series that collected the original U.S. adventures of the Son of Satan. Written primarily by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and Roy Thomas, and illustrated by a powerhouse trio of Gene Colan, Steve Ditko, and Jack Kirby, the title introduced Danish audiences to the grim, occult-tinged exploits of a conflicted demon-fighter. This series stands as a notable early example of European-localized Marvel comics, offering a curated selection of the character's most formative and artistically striking stories from the Silver Age.
