ダンダダン [Dandadan]

A supernatural sci-fi action-comedy from Shueisha that began in 2021, Dandadan follows two high schoolers—one who believes in ghosts, the other in aliens—as their opposing worldviews collide in the most literal way possible. After a dare gone wrong, they find themselves caught in a chaotic battle between spirits and extraterrestrials, gaining bizarre powers in the process. Written and illustrated by Yukinobu Tatsu, the series is known for its breakneck pacing, wild visual inventiveness, and a tone that swings from gross-out horror to heartfelt comedy. It quickly became a standout in Weekly Shonen Jump for its unapologetically weird premise and energetic art.
